Ronin: Death23 years.
For twenty three years I stayed with old Haroshiro. His stories never ended. Every tale taught me something about him and his strange culture. The sense of honor among these people never ceased to intrigue me.
Of all the things he talked about, he never once asked me about my past or what I really was. I found comfort in that fact.
One night in the winter of 1068, old Haroshiro did not rise from his bed. I would always wait in the common room, waiting for tea and stories. This time, I went to him.
He laid there, half awake and coughing in dry heaves.
"I am dying, Ronin."
It was a statement I was most unfamiliar with. My eyes contorted in confusion.
Haroshiro coughed again, this time he spit blood into his washbowl.
"You must understand, Ronin. I am not like you. I am old and will soon leave this world."
The truth put my mind in a frantic state. What would I do without his tales and legends to keep me company?
I pulled a small vial from my pouch that glowed with a blui
Ronin: NamedIt was 852 AD when I came into this world. It was that cold winters eve that I lay bare on the floor, disoriented and confused. Feathers were strewn about the floor, and a dark shadow of a man stood over me. He called himself Master, and he called me servant.
I could not remember before that night, yet I had existed prior to that late evening. I lived in another body, another form, different from what I am now. Master told me I was his pet, his company on lonely nights a raven. He brought me into the form of Man to better serve his purposes.
I serve no ones purpose but my own, I thought.
I tried to escape, but Master was too powerful. I decided to wait and to learn.
Once I had learned all his powerful magic, I parted from him and roamed the world free.
For 196 years, I walked this earth with no name but servant.
After all that time, I found a name for myself in Persia.
The Lake: Judge Story 3I stared at my computer.
For a long time, Matthew said nothing.
I didnt think much of it. I dont deal in people anyway.
He finally said something out loud.
So I suppose you are wondering why I was after that Goblin by myself.
I kept my gaze at the information running past my eyes on screen.
No. Not really.
Matthew fell silent again. Good.
Finally I came across something. Someone has encountered this goblin before. Except the location is in a town I had not heard of in Ohio, somewhere near the lakes. There is only one reason a goblin would make a regular trip out to the middle of nowhere. He has a superior, and thats where to find it.
I stood from my chair and started to load up with as much as I could carry. Matthew looked around, and then reached for one of my guns.
I wouldnt touch that, I said.
I know you are going to find that Goblin, and I am coming with you. He stood up straight, trying to appear b
Deals of Love: Revo TaedonI thought we had a deal.
Thats all that went though my mind as I lay on the permacrete floor, almost bleeding to death. Small dust clouds rose into the air with each exhale. I was in pain, but I wasnt sure what hurt. It was the kind of pain that felt like your whole body would fall into pieces any second, but for some reason you were held together by painful little threads of life.
I should try to move. It hurts worse to move, but Ill die if I dont.
Revo pulled in his right arm slowly and clumsily pushed himself upright into a sitting position. He scooted himself over toward a wall to prop his back against.
Dry heaving coughs echoed in the darkness of the solid walled room.
Blood just what I needed. Now I am starving and bleeding to death.
All of Revos pockets were empty, all his equipment and weapons gone. Things didnt look too promising.
There was somebody else. Someone else was in on this. Come on, Revo think.<
The Meeting: Dontiss and RevoDontiss loved the smell of smoke and the look of flames. Maybe it was a coincidence that his second name was Singe, or maybe his parents knew something when he was born. Nevertheless, fire was his favorite way of completing missions and destroying targets. Being an ex-soldier, there wasnt much action left except to be a hired assassin. Thats how he met Revo.
A gossam named Fensh wanted to kill Revo. That was no surprise since there werent many who wouldnt want to after having an encounter with him. Revo had the terrible tendency to do what was right, and most beings would hate you for that, especially in the Outer Rim. Revo upheld this tendency when he started working for Fensh.
Fensh was hacking into accounts and stealing credits out of every transfer of funds through the holonet. Revo decided to reprogram Fenshs computer to put the money back to the rightful accounts, and also a little extra out of Fenshs pocket. Fensh did not take this lightly. Af

We came to this planet because ours was gone.
The quest for power consumed our home. The need for domination destroyed us. Still we live, and yet there is a piece in each of us that has been decimated forever. We will never recover what we have lost.
I look down upon this planet, and I wonder why we try.
It is evident by now that we have lost the capacity for peace. War follows in our wake. We came to retrieve the AllSpark, which has long since been lost, and we are still here. All that came of attempting to revive our planet was the relocation of the war from our planet of death to this planet of life. There is so much life on this planet. All of it we have sworn to protect. This is the promise we have made to them. But the promise would not need to have been made if we had never co

the summer heat lays limp in the city’s lap,
breathing long oppressive breaths.
it does not even lift its lolling head
to bark out hoarse indignancy

there might be heavy rain today,
brought by some swollen, murmuring cloud.
the world will whirl and howl,
then settle down,
to die a little more.

press your back against the wall in fear
as the universe spreads her arms and
shuts her eyes
and starts to summon the end of all things.

hot windy whispers of half-formed solutions and resolutions,
sweltering sunlit meadows we’ll wander and then forget.
o quickly, love,
let’s to the season of forgetting
and unwind all of our harshest memories
and fill the universe’s mouth
with mute cotton.
i’ll whisper these words to you some evening
with all my exigency in the hand i rest on your arm—
