Halloween 2009 Steampunk

Don't know why it took me this long to post this up here, but I guess better late than never.

This was my costume for last halloween, 2009. I went with a steampunk theme, and made what I'd like to call a steampunk alchemist who is in the business of capturing and selling stray spirits. The overall design took inspiration from my Ronin character from two halloweens ago.

Almost everything was made from scratch...the goggles, the mask, the gauntlets, and the coat. The vest, shirt, pants, and leather gloves were bought.

The picture was taken in front of a methodist church in town, and it had a nice victorian look to it. And my lovely wife, tajniwolf [link] was the one to take the photo, and she did an awesome job. <3

I thought about a sepia filter, but I decided to preserve the color for now. I might go back and do a sepia and antique it for artistic effect later.
